Our client is an innovative company in the field of mobile payment services. The company has been acquired by a well-known and international group (a market leader in its sector), which supports the development of the business. The company is growing in several European countries. We are mandated to recruit a Chief Compliance Officer.

Position

As a Chief Compliance Officer, you will report locally to the CEO and, on a Group level, to the Board of Directors. You will lead within a dynamic team an your tasks will include the following:

  • Ensure the compliance of all obligations with the Payment Institution license;
  • Identify, assess and manage compliance risks across business activities in Europe;
  • Advise Management and train staff on new regulatory developments, and recommend appropriate policies, procedures and internal controls accordingly;
  • Act as a point of contact for local and European authorities including CSSF & CNPD;
  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures;
  • Participate in the analysis of new products and initiative to ensure compliance risk management;
  • Manage working relationships with the CSSF and other relevant regulatory bodies, and liaise with regulators, auditors and banking partners;
  • Keep up to date with any regulatory and legislation changes that will impact the business;
  • Liaise with business counterparts to provide advice or approval on customers, products, services, marketing materials in compliance with laws and regulations.

Profile

  • University Degree with 7 to 15 years of experience in compliance in payments related industry;
  • Fluent in English (C1 level) and French;
  • Strong sense of confidentiality and discretion;
  • Self-starter with ability to flourish in high-pressure environments;
  • Excellent communication skills, hands-on, capable of working independently.
