Our client is an innovative company in the field of e-commerce and e-payment services. The company is growing very fast in many countries and is a leader in most of the European countries. We are exclusively mandated to recruit a Chief Compliance Officer.


As a Chief Compliance Officer, you will report locally to the CEO and, on a Group level, to the Board of Directors. Your tasks will include the following responsibilities: 

  • Manage the application process and ensure the delivery of the EMI-licence according to the CSSF requirements;
  • Ensure the compliance of all obligations with the payment Institution license;
  • Responsible for KYC, AML, Counter-Terrorism Financing and other regulative measures;
  • Identify, assess and manage compliance risks across business activities in Europe;
  • Advise Management and train staff on new regulatory developments, and recommend appropriate policies, procedures and internal controls accordingly;
  • Act as a point of contact for local and European authorities including CSSF & CNPD;
  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures;
  • Participate in the analysis of new products and initiative to ensure compliance risk management;
  • Manage working relationships with the CSSF and other relevant regulatory bodies, and liaise with regulators, auditors and banking partners;
  • Keep up to date with any regulatory and legislation changes that will impact the business;
  • Liaise with business counterparts to provide advice or approval on customers, products, services, marketing materials in compliance with laws and regulations.


  • University Degree with 7 to 15 years of experience in compliance in payments related industry (ACAMS qualification would be a plus). 
  • Excellent knowledge of the PSD2 regulation, P2P, card-to-card, Swift and SEPA transfers and the P.I.S.P. business framework.
  • Fluent in English (C1 level);
  • Strong sense of confidentiality and discretion;
  • Self-starter with ability to flourish in high-pressure environments;
  • Excellent communication skills, hands-on, capable of working independently.
