Our client is an international research University. We have an exclusive assignment to recruit a Project Manager – Data Cabling. Reporting to the Team Leader Infrastructure and Architecture, the Project Manager works closely together with the Development Department as the main internal client for IT cabling activities.


  • Supports the technical implementation and follow-up of infrastructure works;
  • Accompanies, supports and guides the supervision and the quality control of the technical works and activities of projects;
  • Provides technical advice to related to infrastructure planning, budgeting and maintenance;
  • Ensures the coherence and coordination of project strategies and activities;
  • Writes specifications for the Cabling projects, following the technical specifications designed for the University’s cabling infrastructure and the legal specifications of public tender laws;
  • Leads the follow-up on the activities of suppliers installing the cabling infrastructures in all University’s buildings;
  • Aligns with the other actors of the project and respects deadlines imposed by SD team;
  • Makes the reception of Data Cabling projects and ensures the quality of infrastructures installed;
  • Verifies and validates the invoices from suppliers in line with the conditions imposed by the collaboration with Fond Belval and the public tenders in place;
  • Coordinates the transition from project to running infrastructure and ensures that maintenance is adequately provided on infrastructures.


  • Graduated Engineer or equivalent with minimum 5 years of experience in similar projects;
  • Specialization in Copper Data Cabling and in Fiber Optic Data Cabling with up to date technology specifications;
  • Familiarized with up to date design and building management tools (Autocad, BIM);
  • Good understanding of the requirements of IT Networking concepts and specifications;
  • Real team player used to evolve in a demanding environment;
  • Knowledge of ISO 11801;
  • Strong communication skills, presenting highly technical issues verbally and in writing to both technical and non-technical personnel at all levels in the organization;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under strict timelines as well as the ability to work well in a demanding, dynamic environment and meet overall objectives;
  • Proven success in leading high performance teams, achieving results through others, and being a strong team player;
  • Fluent in French and English, German or Luxembourgish is an asset.
