Our client is one of the leading commercial banks, and we are happy to announce a new job opening Trade Finance Officer. This position is to manage the Trade Finance business of the Luxembourg Branch, train the employees and monitor the transactions, to back up in relative fields and assist in internal management.

Position

  • Verify and monitor all the Cross Border trade finance (Can Rong Tong), trade finance under guarantee by domestic Client branches or intra-group.
  • Verify and monitor all the LC or Non LC related trade finance, including Export Bills Negotiation, Export Bills discount and LC re-financing, Non LC re-financing and Funded/Unfunded Forfeiting ect.  
  • Second check and verify all aspects of import & export transactions including: L/C issuance and acceptance; L/C advising and confirmation; Collections such as D/P, D/A, inward and outward remittance etc.; effecting payment under L/Cs, D/P, D/A, etc.; bank guarantees, standby L/Cs.
  • Responsible for monitoring or overseeing trade finance and trade related loans including drawdowns, rollover, repayment advice and repayment of principal and interest, charges collected, and maintain complete documentations of the transaction.
  • Assist in providing knowledge and skills training to help the team members be skilled and qualified for the job.
  • Assist in internal management including drafting workflow, procedures and manuals.
  • Perform backup function of Treasury, Deposits, Loans Admin. and other transactions as required.
  • Input the approved transactions into the core banking system timely and accurately in case of need.
  • Undertake other relative jobs assigned by the Department Head.

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; advanced degree in business, finance.
  • You speak fluent Chinese. 
  • Typically requires 8+ years of experience in a similar role (experience with international bank preferred).
  • Good knowledge of trade finance, Treasury, SWIFT message, UCP600 and relative ICC international customs and practice.
  • Good organizational, analytical and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Keen sense of judgment with business orientation.
