Inside Sales – German and English (m/f)

Our client operates in the industrial sector and is based in several European countries. We are currently looking for an Inside Sales Representative responsible for a portfolio of existing customers.

Position

Under the supervision of the Regional Sales Manager, the Inside Sales Representative is responsible for a portfolio of existing customers. He or she will contact, develop and implement sales plans to meet sales goals. Activities include developing and maintaining effective relationships with corporate partners, making recommendations for improvements, and generating business to grow company revenue. Position does not require travel as most of the transactions will be remotely.

 

The main responsibilities are described here below:

 

  • Assist the Regional Sales Manager to formulate the annual sales budget for a portfolio of existing customers and to define action plans that will result in the achievement of the objectives;
  • Manage a portfolio of existing customers in contacting them on a regular basis
  • Identify sales opportunities through regular communication, basic technical information and appropriate price quotations;
  • Work closely with Sales Team, Customer Service, Technical Service and all pertinent personnel to develop new sales projects;
  • Update the CRM system after each call including suggestions and complaints. Effectively communicate progress;
  • Know customer products and process capabilities, key contact, previous sales results and products purchased for all accounts to allow value-added selling;
  • Explore and identify niche opportunities to grow the business;
  • Apply pricing policies established by the Sales Management and maintain special pricing within these guidelines according to product, quantity and customer considerations;
  • Perform all other additional projects and duties as assigned by management.

Profile

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree or equivalent experience (Sales, Marketing, Business Administration). 
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position in an industrial environment;
  • Highly motivated and target driven person with excellent selling and negotiation skills;
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, follow-up and organizational skills;
  • Master of various selling best practices, including phone sales technique;
  • Interested in technical matters;
  • Computer literate;
  • German and English fluent.
