Regulatory senior compliance advisor (m/f)

Our client, a historical bank in Luxembourg focused on private, corporate and retail banking is looking for a regulatory and tax senior compliance advisor for its financial crime prevention team.


  • You support the set ip of the Compliance Monitoring Programme on FATCA/CRS and FCP matters.
  • You perform AML and Tax Compliance (e.g. FATCA/CRS) related monitoring activities to ensure that processes and clients are compliant with the regulatory and the bank’s policies requirements.
  • You provide Compliance subject matter expertise notably on FATCA/CRS to business and operations teams during meetings and workshops in collaboration with the Customer Tax Department.
  • You advise, train and support our sales teams in the fights against money laundering, the financing of terrorism and for tax transparency.
  • You report to management on control results, level of compliance and/or any specific issues arising from the monitoring activity.
  • You perform regular regulatory watch at both national and international levels.
  • You implement and realize second-level controls on different topics : CRS, DAC-6, Tax Compliance (20/744).
  • You review and ensure reinforcement of the global scheme on the following topics inside BIL Group: CRS, QI/FATCA, DAC-6, Tax Compliance (20/744).
  • You analyze and issuance of Tax compliance notice on complex files, participation to committees if necessary
  • You participate and implement new regulatory terms.


  • You hold a Master’s Degree (Bac + 4/5) or equivalent in Law, Finance or Economics.
  • You have At least 4 to 7 years of experience in the banking industry within a Compliance / Audit department.
  • You have an In-depth knowledge of the AML/KYC as well as FATCA/CRS regulatory framework and environment in Luxembourg.
  • You are able to summarise and communicate in a concise manner with other stakeholders, including management, on complex issues and recommend next steps.
  • You can work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • You have an excellent command of written and spoken English and French, knowledge of Luxembourgish will be considered as an advantage.
  • Your high level of integrity and absolute discretion are well recognised.
