Our client is a Logistics and Supply Chain Services provider based in Luxembourg with an international footprint. We are delighted to share our exclusive assignment to recruit a Vice-President Logistics. The Vice-President Logistics will lead all efforts from strategy to execution, including defining and/or driving the logistics transportation business. This individual will be responsible for maximizing market return and delivering a high level of products and services to the clients. The VP Logistics has responsibility for the overall strategy and performance of logistics products to achieve the short and long-term goals. This role works with a team of operational leaders.
You will be responsible for managing the whole logistics operational organization meaning all current and future goals achievements.
Our client would like you to suggest and implement strategic development on long term, ensure safe and efficient operations; run a safe injury/accident free workplace.
You will analyze financial & operational reports to adjust short/middle term actions and to prepare operating budgets.
You will work closely with the project team in order to define and develop strategic business objectives.
Part of your responsibilities consists in overseeing development, implementation and reviewing operational policies and procedures.
You will work closely and with good partnership with clients/customers in order to be proactive and improve the processes to meet the needs.
You will give support to solve customer issues with operations team, devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints.
As an executive leader you will set goal, monitor work, and evaluate results to ensure that departmental and organizational objectives and operating requirements are met and are in line with the needs and mission of the organization.
Of course, you will maintain good relationships with personal representatives.
You manage your team, give objectives, evaluate achievements and develop people according to career development opportunities.
You manage the performance appraisals and address employee’s performance and corrective action plans when required.
You have a university degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics or Economics.
You offer at least 10 to 15 years of experience in the area of logistics and especially with executive level responsibilities.
You provide a very good knowledge of logistics specific processes and technologies.
As a recognized leader, you have strong people management skills (around 1300 people under management through different business units), you are able to manage employees in an efficient, very professional and motivating way of working.
You have strong analytical and communication skills and you feel comfortable to drive change management strategies on a mid-term basis.
You are able to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners and collaborators.
Languages skills: English and French are required.
