Our client is a dynamic IT company based in Luxembourg specialized in IT infrastructure services & solutions. Their customer base includes Public Institutions, Banks, Financial and Industrial companies. They advise companies on setting up their IT Infrastructures and they provide support on Datacentre solutions.
Due to their ongoing development, we are delighted to assist them in recruiting an Experienced VMWare Administrator. You will join one of their clients based in Luxembourg-city, in the industrial sector for a multiple year’s project.
Position
- Support and maintain the existing virtual infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and reliability.
- Propose adaptations and improvements to the virtual infrastructure.
- Operate and monitor backups, conducting regular restore tests to verify data integrity and availability.
- Manage infrastructure incidents by coordinating with manufacturer support and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Apply patching and updates to the virtual infrastructure while adhering to change management procedures.
- Follow and implement security recommendations to safeguard virtualized environments against potential threats.
- Define and document virtual infrastructure standards, ensuring consistency and compliance across the environment.
- Collaborate with external service providers to address infrastructure needs and support ongoing operations.
- Participate in the implementation of various projects, providing expertise and support to ensure successful outcomes.
- Maintain documentation of configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for reference and knowledge sharing.
Profile
- A degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in administering VMware virtualization technologies, including vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi and strong understanding of virtualization concepts and best practices.
- Experience with backup and recovery solutions for virtual environments (e.g., Veeam, VMware Data Protection).
- Fluent level in French and professional level in English
- Proactive and customer-oriented attitude
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
