International Sales Manager (m/f)

Our client operates in the manufacturing industry and is one of the key players in the Wastewater treatment market.

In the context of continuous growth, we are delighted to assist our client in recruiting an International Sales Manager to further expand into the international market, with a particular focus on indirect sales channels.

The desired candidate presents a target-oriented attitude coupled with a hunter approach when developing a sales strategy and acquiring new clients/new distributors/resellers.

Together with his/her team, s/he will play an essential role in defining and implementing the sales strategy for the international region. 

Poste

  • The International Sales Manager will define the sales strategy in the international region and play an essential role in client and distributor-facing negotiations.
  • S/he will collaborate with internal stakeholders to formulate pricing, forecasting, and resource allocation strategies to enhance market share and profitability in the targeted region.
  • S/he will develop and propose tailored customer development plans to foster growth.
  • S/he will implement and regularly assess progress against medium-term and short-term goals, recommending corrective actions when necessary.
  • S/he will coordinate the execution of the approved strategy and annual sales goals, working closely with sales distributors to exceed master plan objectives.
  • S/he will cultivate relationships with third-party sales entities to enhance account services, identify new business opportunities, new territories, and ensure effective communication.
  • S/he will address and escalate relevant complaints in collaboration with sales and technical departments, taking appropriate action to safeguard business conditions.
  • S/he will stay informed about market trends and competitive activities within the region/accounts and share pertinent insights across the internal stakeholders.
  • S/he will contribute to specific projects as needed.
  • S/he will perform additional projects and duties as assigned by management.

Profil

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a Business School or, alternatively, an Engineering background in Biology (an interest in Wastewater treatment systems is definitely a plus) with a strong sales acumen.
  • First proven experience in a Sales or Business Development in an industrial setting (preferably related to Wastewater treatment technologies/on site Wastewater treatment systems) and multicultural environment;
  • Ability to work with environmental norms;
  • Experience in business development through targeting international partners ; 
  • Highly motivated and target-driven with excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills;
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, B2/C1level in French is required ;
  • Openness to business trips in Europe and abroad.
